Cannabinoids are compounds found in different varieties of Cannabis plants including industrial hemp. Over 1200 unique chemical compounds have already been identified in this wonderful plant. Hundreds of them are terpenoids. Terpenoids are compounds that give fruits, flowers, and herbs their characteristic aromas, flavors, and other properties beneficial for your health. Cannabinoids are a sub-class of terpenoids.
There are over 144 cannabinoids that can be found in different varieties of hemp and cannabis. They have many beneficial effects on the human body due to their ability to interact with endocannabinoid receptors in the human body.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is the primary cannabinoid in industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.). In recent years there is increasing interest in the therapeutic potential of CBD. CBD is a cannabinoid which causes no psychotropic effects, and even in long-term uses does not cause significant side effects.
The endocannabinoid system (ECS), named after the plant that led to its discovery, is a group of endogenous cannabinoids and corresponding endocannabinoid receptors located in the brain and throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems and organs of humans and many animals. It is a »command and control« set of biochemical communication between endocannabinoids produced naturally by the human body and the receptors which are involved in processes such as thinking, memory, coordination, pleasure and time perception. In addition to endocannabinoids, also phytocannabinoids, the cannabinoids that derive from a plant, can interact with the endocannabinoid system, which results in a number of beneficial effects on the human body.
Cannabigerol, also known as CBG is the cannabinoid from which other cannabinoids found in the plant are produced. This is why you may hear CBG be referred to as the “parent” molecule in plants. It is gaining popularity lately due to its potential benefits on the human body.
CO2 extraction is an extraction process that uses carbon dioxide (CO2) to extract phytochemicals (such as cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, etc.) from a plant. CO2 at certain temperatures and pressures acts like a solvent. It is one of the most expensive extraction methods, however, it is widely used due to the high effectiveness, safety and environmentally-friendly approach of processing plant materials.
Our full spectrum CBD oil line is made with full-spectrum hemp extracts.
Full spectrum hemp extract contains all of the phytochemicals naturally found in the hemp plant — this includes CBD as well as other trace cannabinoids and terpenes. These additional cannabinoids, terpenes, and other phytochemicals give the oil a dark color, earthy flavor, and adds some bitterness.
Full spectrum extract means that a product contains extract with CBD and a wide range of other cannabinoids that are naturally occurring in the cannabis plant. Full spectrum CBD products are typically high in CBD, with lower amounts of minor cannabinoids, and only traces of THC. Full spectrum products are considered more effective than products that contain only CBD isolate.
The »entourage effect« is a desirable effect of products that contain a full spectrum extracts as it is known that CBD in combination with other natural compounds found in cannabis is more efficient than when used alone. Scientists also like to use the term “synergistic effect of several components” which means similar – more compounds have a more potent effect when used together if compared to the sum of effects by using the individual compound.
CBD hemp oil is extracted from industrial hemp biomass. CBD oil contains significant amounts of cannabidiol (CBD). The supercritical CO2 extraction is the most common extraction process that preserves in the extract also all other cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and nutrients from the plant.
CBD isolate is a pure, crystalline powder, containing only CBD molecule, which is isolated from cannabis/hemp. All other compounds present in biomass such as oils, chlorophyll, terpenes, other cannabinoids are removed during the processing.
Hemp extract refers to the oily viscous liquid which is obtained from hemp biomass by various extraction processes in order to concentrate many beneficial compounds found in Cannabis plants. The most common methods of extraction are supercritical CO2 and ethanol extraction.
Terpenes are a class of volatile hydrocarbon compounds produced in the cannabis plant. Terpenes are compounds that give cannabis its distinct aromas and smell and have been utilized by humans for millennia in aromatherapy. Terpenes are recognized as safe for human consumption by the Food and Drug Association and are used in a wide variety of food and cosmetic products.
Hemp Oil is most commonly sourced from the Cannabis Sativa (Industrial Hemp) plant seed. It is also called Hemp Oil or Hemp Seed Oil. Hemp Oil is regulated in its production and is tested for THC and CBD levels, however it does not contain either of those Cannabinoids. Test have shown that there are no cannabinoids present in the seeds of the hemp plant. Hemp Oil is referred to as a Superfood, because of the high levels of Omegas which are naturally found in a 3:1 ratio, Vitamins, and other Nutrients. It may also assist with Pain, and stress due to its naturally occurring nutrients. Hemp Oil is also excellent for Hair and skin thanks to all of those Omegas and Vitamins! CBD Oil, often referred to as Hemp Extract is an oil with naturally occurring terpenes, flavonoids, Cannabinoids, and other beneficial phytonutrients from the hemp plant. This CO2 extracted CBD Oil is free of harmful solvents and uses a gentle, low temperature, alcohol free extraction process that yields the purest form of CBD Oil available. This clean oil extraction process yields a high quality extracted CBD oil retaining a broad spectrum of terpenes, Cannabinoids, and other phyto-compounds derived from the Cannabis Sativa industrial hemp plant like CBD Oil.
Cannabis contains a variety of different compounds called Cannabinoids, two of the most dominant are Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD). Both Cannabinoids have shown to provide profound benefits to the human body; however, THC induces psychoactive effects (gets the user “high”), while CBD does not contain any psychoactive properties.
Along with other cannabinoids that are present in smaller amounts, CBG OIL DROPS are the perfect choice for the care of dry skin as well as to protect you and your skin from environmental and other stress-related effects on your body.
CBD-infused skincare products have the potential to assist you in keeping your skin moisturized, protected against the harmful effects of UV radiation. CBD’s antioxidant properties help to visibly reduce skin dullness, fine lines, and wrinkles. CBD is also effective in exfoliating and cleansing of the pores, reducing breakouts and redness of your skin.

CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, meaning that you cannot get “high” or intoxicated by consuming CBD oil drops, as well as any other raw natural product deriving from industrial hemp plants for that matter.
Our CBD products are all made from industrial hemp, which only contains trace amounts of THC (less than 0.2%), so there is no psychoactive effect deriving from taking Pharmahemp products.
CBD oil is sold without prescription unlike medical marijuana, which requires a medical card in the US and other countries. You can even order CBD oil online from the comfort of your home.
Vape oils are not made for sublingual or oral consumption (without a vape), this product is intended only to be vaped. The composition of CBD vape oil includes VG/PG in order for it to vaporise well. If you would prefer to consume CBD sublingually or orally we would recommend either CBD oil, spray, capsules, or raw hemp extract. These products contain all-natural ingredients and phytonutrients.
Well, the first thing to keep in mind is that the interaction between CBD and alcohol haven’t been rigorously researched. CBD affects everyone differently, so its a good idea to know how your body responds to it before you start adding it to your happy-hour order.
All mammals have an endocannabinoid system and as such, giving them cannabinoids should help promote wellbeing. HOWEVER, the Vets Association are (quite rightly) very protective about what we can say about treatment. If you’re unsure which product to choose, then you can join an independent consumer group on Facebook group such as Herbal Pets UK/EU, as users, or more accurately- the user’s humans can openly talk about which products they find useful.
Please be aware that all of our products do contain a trace of THC that is less than 0.2% – within the legal level, and therefore could give a false positive on a road side or employer drug test. Upon a urine or blood test it should be apparent that there are high levels of CBD not THC however this would depend on the quality of the testing equipment being used and therefore if you feel this could in anyway affect your ability to pass a drug test or jeopardise your employment you should either discuss the matter with your employer or not take the products.
As with any natural-deriving products, there can be a slight variation in color, scent, or flavor profile from one series of a product to another (or from batch to batch). Regardless, CBD content of each of our Pharmahemp products is standardized during the production process and continuously checked in our Quality Control laboratory, Pharmahemp Laboratories.
If you feel that your product is outside of this normal variance, you can contact our Customer Service team and we would be more than glad to help you with answers to any of your questions.
